Custom formulating and manufacturing services
In addition to custom synthesis, Specialty Organics offers a full range of custom formulating and manufacturing services. Our pilot plant is stocked with an assortment of equipment to support product development and optimization of chemical manufacturing processes.
This equipment includes glass lined and stainless-steel mixers ranging from 5 gallons to 500 gallons that are designed to handle a variety of chemical processes. These vessels have heating/cooling jackets to accommodate various process temperatures. We also carry centrifuges, ovens, rotary dryers, distillation columns, heated and cold storage, grinders/mills, and filtration equipment. The plant features access to the full complement of our utilities and facilities, including 480 V electricity, 100 psi air, a steam boiler rated up to 150 psi, a cooling water tower, a chiller, and vacuum systems to meet the demands of each new project. Our facility also has engineered ventilation, sprinklers rated for flammable liquids, explosion-proof electrical, and secondary containment berms.
In addition to our production capabilities, we maintain an in-house quality control lab to test and verify the consistency and quality of our products. We also have a fume hood and laboratory glass systems available for product formulation and development of new products or variations of existing ones.

Organic and metal-organic synthesis
